Handcrafted leather goods and high-end know-how

At Lamaro, we imagine timeless and modular leather goods that will accompany you everywhere, all the time and for life. The graphic and structured design of our models wonderfully combines modernity and traditional know-how to highlight exceptional leathers.

Each piece is made according to the rules of art: saddle stitching made by hand for solidity, high-end edge finishing and leather lining, for objects that last, that last... Our mission is to give back value to handcrafted work in a globalized world where everything goes very (too!) fast. So we slow down and take the time to make beautiful objects that are both durable and desirable.

Ethical commitment for a more sustainable fashion

Bags, card holders and other leather accessories are entirely handmade in our workshop in Aix-en-Provence. The skins carefully selected for the manufacture of our pieces are taken from the scraps and dormant stocks of the luxury industry.

In an upcycling and slow-fashion approach, we make it our mission to enhance the existing in order to limit our impact on the environment while offering products of exceptional quality. As far as possible, we favour Made in France raw materials that ensure quality standards and respect for people and the environment. To know more about the raw materials used.

Unique and customizable pieces

Mass production, not for us, at Lamaro each bag or small leather good is offered in extremely limited quantities, if not in a unique piece. Each season sees the birth of a capsule collection through which the designer gives free rein to her imagination around a theme that is dear to her, or a collaboration with another craftsman or artist.

Apart from these one-off collections, the articles are made to order. Bags, card holders and other accessories can be personalized thanks to a large choice of leathers available at the workshop. You will have the possibility to own a high-end piece made to order that suits you, which we hope will accompany you for a long time.

The creator

After studying business and fashion marketing in Marseille, Joanna Da Silva wanted to develop a project in line with her values. She has always been passionate about the product, with a particular sensitivity for leather and leather goods, and decided to enter the Boudard school. This school, which trains future Hermès craftsmen, allowed her to acquire her title of Saddlery and Leather Goods Art. Sensitized to ethical and sustainable fashion during her studies, it is around this issue that she wishes to grow her brand.

Lamaro was born in 2019, a high-end leather goods brand that combines art craftsmanship, modernity and sustainability. In her workshop located in Aix-en-Provence, Joanna imagines, develops and manufactures all her models entirely by hand, using only existing materials, and making it a point of honour to source as locally as possible. Finally, Lamaro has the "Artisan d'Art" qualification, a guarantee of unique know-how and a promise of artisanal production, each step of which is carried out in the Aix-en-Provence workshop.
